2026 AATA Conference Scholarship

This scholarship supports a VATA member's attendance at the 2026 American Art Therapy Association Conference, helping make professional development and networking more accessible. This scholarship will cover the full cost of a member’s conference attendance, either in person or virtually.

Award Amount: Full Registration Reimbursement for *ANY* registration type (including late registration)

2026 Equity in Art Therapy Scholarship

This scholarship supports art therapists and students whose work, research, or community projects promote equitable access to art therapy and address the needs of marginalized, historically underserved, or BIPOC communities. Applicants are required to submit a proposal describing a current or planned project, including capstone or thesis work, that seeks to reduce barriers or ease the impact of systemic oppression through art therapy.

Award Amount: $300

2026 Emerging Art Therapist Scholarship

This scholarship supports emerging professionals and students by helping offset expenses such as:

​

  • Art therapy licensing examinations

  • Licensure or professional fees

  • Clinical supervision

  • Educational expenses

  • Thesis or research materials
